Do you love the water yet do you don’t have time to go to the beach? Well then satisfy that craving for water by heading to the Philippine Army Wellness Center. This is a good place to relax and just swim away all those stress and negative vibes.

If you are looking for a place to cool down during a very hot day, head to the Philippine Army Wellness Center in Taguig. This pool is popular because of its accessibility. The amenities are very basic and the place is spic-and-span, very typical of a military installation.

The pool is open for recreational swimmers. The most prominent feature is the 50-meter pool which is a venue for many activities participated by the soldiers such as dragon boat training, underwater hockey and synchronized swimming. The public can also rent the pavilions and cottages.

The Army pool served as the training ground for the Philippine Dragon Boat team who already placed the Philippines in the map by winning five golds and two silvers in the world championship which was held in Tampa Florida in 2011. The Philippine Navy survival trainings and swimming lessons are also held in the pool. For recreational purposes however, it can also be reserved for birthday parties and other activities.

For army soldiers and civilian employees, the use of the pool is for free from 8am to 6pm on regular days. The public can enjoy the pool at PhP100 for daytime swimming and PhP125 for night swimming at 6-10pm. It is only available for the public every Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Cottages are available at PhP75 for umbrella cottages, PhP350 for small pavilion and PhP1200 for the big pavilion.

Proper swimming attire should be observed when using the pool. Males are required to wear swimming trunks and cycling shorts. Women can wear one or two-piece swimsuit.

The safety of swimmers will not be compromised because lifeguards are stationed in the pool. Everyone is encouraged to follow the rules and regulations of using the pool so there will be no accidents.

The Army pool is located inside the Army Wellness Center or Army Gym at Bayani Road and Lawton Avenue.
