Figaro was established to serve them the best coffee along with delicious pastries and prompt service. They serve excellently brewed specialty coffee and all other things served complements the coffee servings.
It all started in 1993, when a group of coffee lovers and enthusiasts thought of a place where they could lounge and entertain their friends and business associates. They wanted this outlet to serve them the best coffee along with delicious pastries and prompt service. The concept slowly became a reality and the complete, perfect coffee was born in November 1993.
The first outlet started and set up in Ayala Center Makati with a managing partner and two employees. With determination, perseverance and patience, the company moved forward and to a new location. The directors then thought of naming it Figaro so it would complete the Italian/European concept of the café. Figaro was taken from the song of Opera: Barber of Seville.
What makes Figaro different from other cafes because it is a company and not just a mere outlet. They serve excellently brewed specialty coffee and all other things served complements the coffee servings.
The outlet is also known for the craftsmanship and product line for both of its retail and service. Almost everyone believed that the concept is foreign even up to this day but the charm of the outlet is one that allows patrons to talk to the owner and experts over coffee. The personal touch became a decree in every outlet so crew goes on intensive training for two weeks so they become knowledgeable of the product and art of making, serving and selling coffee.
The company took two years to establish its credibility and for the taste buds of Filipinos to be re-educated about specialty coffee which also paved way for expansion to start. Now, Figaro already has more than 55 outlets all over the country and several more are on the works.
This success did not come overnight. It takes a lot of courage and determination for the company to grow over the years. The asset of the company is the partnership of individual partners who also thrive in their own strengths. Such partnership allows for the management of the company to be dedicated and dynamic.
Every outlet gives this homey feel that would invite you to grab a cup of coffee and just let the afternoon pass by. Wooden chairs, wooden doors, tables, lamps and other unique accents would send you back to memory lane as you enjoy a hot cup on rainy afternoons. The ambiance adds to the meaningful hours you spend lingering or chatting with friends.
Figaro is known for its roasted coffee beans that make irresistibly flavorful and aromatic coffee. Freshness is important especially that coffee beans deteriorate when roasted. Once you order a cup of coffee at Figaro, you get the beans toasted in the company’s very own roasters which are manned by experts. The beans are roasted and packed before reaching the shelves. Grab the home reserve, barako blend and flavored blends according to your choice.
